Smelling gas / oil / exhaust in the cabin?

I looked through the forums, but couldn't find a related topic. Recently, when I start my car and my air con / fan is blowing in the cabin; I smell gas, sometimes oil, and lately exhaust. I never used to have this problem. I don't know if I have to clean the air filter? Also, if I turn the air on later, I still get blasted for a while with these smells. Is there an air filter for the in cabin air? There was one on the stock intake, but I have an Injen Cold air intake now. The smell only lasts a little while at the beginning, but it is really annoying and I think it is getting worse. I have no idea if this is a big problem, or something simple. Any help would be great.

Oh, and if any one knows how the turn the A/C off in a 2000 Se with climate control, and I can't just have normal air blowing in from the outside, the condenser is always on. I know this because my car is leaking water constantly.... Really irritating. I know that there is an Econ setting in the car, but this means that the fan is going to be set really low. Also, are condensers supposed to dump that much water? (I know its water because I have smelled it, touched it, just not drank it.) Thanks for any help! :

Run the climate control in Econ mode to run without the A/C. You can control the fan speed independently of Auto/Econ mode.

When I increase the fan speed with Econ mode on, the Econ goes off. Doesn't that mean that its has the condenser is back on?

I don't think so. The "manual" indicator may turn on (at least it does for me in my 4th Gen).

the smell may be a plugged cat, but usually that is paired with poor performance. it could still be an exhaust leak, going into the heater box. the fuel smell could be caused by a leaky injector but im not too sure on that.

That doesn't sound good for the smell thing. I'm going to go out and check on the condenser thing. (run it a while and see if it is giving off water.) Does any one else have any ideas on the smell in the car? Exhaust leak or leaky fuel injector? bleh.

The filter on the stock intake is not a filter for the cabin air, and in case you didn't know, your Injen has a filter too, its the cone shaped thing at the end of the piping.... the filter for the cabin air is behind your glove compartment or something... at least I think that's where it is for my 2k2....
