Is anyone interested in creating a sort of registry of Majestic Blue AE's? If so, either send me a message or leave a post with your name, location, auto or 5-speed, and any options or mods you have.

I've got an automatic Majestic Blue Maxima SE Aniversery Edition wiht Frost Leather interior. Mine was built in September of 2000, but picked up to weeks ago. I live on Long Island. I've got all options except CD changer! I have one of the only Majestic Blue Maximas on Long Island. I put Xenons in the head lights and trying to put in the fogs also!

I've had mine for about 2 months and love it. Does anyone know how many total '01 AEs Nissan is making in Majestic Blue?

Carsdirect.com told me that their was to be 300 Maxima's released in Majestic Blue Metallic. Never been able to secure true figures and different option groups. One member in Canada said they had 12 units and one dealer in my area got none (ENDICOTT). The other (CORAL SPRINGS) got one car....I have yet to see another on the road. Merlot seems to be few and far between in Florida.

Endicott Nissan in Florida had a completely loaded Super Black w/ Black leather. It was an auto and even had the painted mud flap option. I believe it listed at 32K .....they have 3 other AE's but only received two up until Feb 2001. They want full window now.....but when short they had 1500.00 mark up non negotiable. I ordered through Carsdirect.com and had car shipped from Georgia.

I have a Majestic Blue 5-speed with black leather and every other option available including the 6-disc changer. My dealer had to search for it and dealer trade to get it. I have pics at http://www.geocities.com/oldchev.geo/max.html The color does not show up well. It kind of looks black. I'm going to get more pics when the sun is shining on it and show its true color. It's beautiful in the sun. Don't look at the interior pic too hard. I forgot to clean out the inside before I took the pics, so there is dirt on the floor mats. How embarrassing! Check back after while and see if I updated the pics.

Luckilly, my sister-in-law works at the dealer, so I got over $2000 off sticker. I called another dealer to check prices, and I got the same story you did, sticker price or even markup on any blue one. Any other colors were way cheaper. I'm glad I got mine when I did.

GOT ONE

Majestic Blue, 5-speed, fully loaded w/ frost leather, exhaust, Ooglie CAI w/ K&N drop-in, red brake calipers, tinted windows, x-pel hood protection, carbon fiber dash kit, all red interior lights. I'm located in Bucks County, PA but I'm relocating to Jersey City/ Hoboken in June. I've never seen another one on the road but I saw the one at the Philly car show and then on Wednesday at the New York Car show. The car is absolutely gorgeous in the sun.

Sorry about that my fingers are to quick! I bought my beautiful majestic blue in February, They had one in a showroom that I planned to buy that day they sold it as I went to the dealer to sign the contract. Luckly, they had another majestic blue in the lot and it had the cd changer, with the whole nine yards, frost interior and an auto. I should have waited for a 5-spd with black interior. It looks sweet!!!

Do you think you could get some production numbers from the fleet manager you know? Like how many AE's they made in Majestic Blue. Also, if you could break the numbers down into 5 speed and auto. Nobody has been able to get any info out of Nissan so far.

Majestic Blue - auto.
Frost interior.
Fully loaded, except for the CD changer.
I didn't like the placement of the changer in the trunk. They should have built a changer in the dash.
I found the traction control already helpful during the winter in one of the snow storms in NYC.

I would like to think I'm the only one with the Majestic Blue AE in NYC. Anyone else?

You know you've got a hot car when you buds look at the Maxima on the floor of the New York Auto Show (pic below if I did it right) and say "yours looks better than that!" My AE is a five week old Majestic blue 5 speed with black leather (the perforation rocks), body color splash guards, Meridian edition with Bose and 6 disk changer (loaded). First mod is to rip out the Bose junk and put in an Alpine and MBQuart system. Second I'll use Stillen to make it handle better.

20 Blue AE's

The Dealer where we bought our Blue AE said that Nissan only made 20 of the Blue AE's with manual trani. We got the automatic. They weren't sure about the number of blue automaitcs.

They told us that they haven't been able to get any other dealers to part with the Blue AE's becuase they have about 4 other couples looking to purchase the Blue and have been unable to locate any.

We are sorry about stealing the last Blue on in MN out from under the other 4 couples that didn't pull the trigger on the deal fast enough.....then again maybe not.

The only add on that I'm considering is someting to stiffen up the handling. A little too much body roll for my liking. Anyone out there added strut tower bars to the 2001 Maxima?

Happy driving.

20 is the exact number I got from the dealer too. I probably got the second to last blue AE out of MN. Only they dealer traded it here to WI and mine's a 5-speed. Does yours have frost leather? I think I may have looked at it at the dealer. Anyway, congratulations on owning an awesome car! Maybe I'll see you driving around.

I just got my SE AE Majestic Blue 2 weeks ago. Automatic, Frost Leather, CD Changer, all other options except heated seats and traction control.

Got a good price at $3200 below MSRP. I live in San Antonio, Texas and have yet to see another on the road. Many people have given me compliments on the color.

The dealer I purchased from had two more just like mine, as of two weeks ago.

If you want one, give Tricia Evans at Gunn Nissan a call (210) 496-0806. They have 3.9% interest until the end of May, I believe.

All I can say is Tricia was great to work with and maid my car buying experience a real joy.

Enjoy the ride!

My boss's brother is buying a blue one from Round Rock Nissan. Delivery is expected in a couple of weeks.
It sounds like it will be a clone of mine.
