I am wondering the same thing. It appears nobody makes and aftermarket tips package to at least spruce up the rear muffler. Courtesy Nissan told me of some metallic paint "finisher" that would chrome the pipes. I believe the new Greddy exhaust will fit but it appears close to rear valance and may burn, warp, or discolor after some time and spirited driving.

I am also looking for a chrome emergency brake handle that will match the 20th AE shifter and petals. Nissan tried but missed several small factors!!!

What do you mean Nissan tried but missed some small factors, pertaining to the e brake handle?

I have only seen the HKS rear section/muffler and Stillen catback. Doesn't look to fit an AE. The factory kit is very close to Stillen but does vary from Stillen in the back part- potentially covering up aftermarket exhaust tips.

Avalon Racing...

Avalon customized the Stillen Cat-back system for the AE (or just made it fit). They ship it on their "Avalon Racing" AE. They also customized a Place Racing CAI for the AE.

Check out http://www.avalonracing.net/maxima2001.htm

I'm planning on purchasing the CAI from them as well as maybe the whole Avalon Racing Edition package...even though they probably won't give me the logo since I don't purchase the whole car from them...we'll see.

No prob. I just realized that you must be shopping for an AE (finally read your sig). You should call Team Nissan up in New Hampshire and ask them about pricing on the Avalon Racing Anniversary Edition. I'm curious myself, but I already own the AE, so won't be buying it...but it could be a great purchase...from scratch modified and under warrenty. Probably going to cost over $35K after all the parts and labor, but it will be a sweet piece of machinery. I'm sure they'd ship the vehicle anywhere in the country.

I really think the whole kit is a great upgrade for the AE...frankly add a Y-Pipe to that and you'd be pushing 265 ponies at the flywheel (estimated based on performance upgraded hp). I think the 10% increase in torque and hp that they claim is a conservative estimate that they KNOW they can make...I bet you get real increases higher than that (they're probably just avoiding law suits).

Re: Re: Re: Avalon Racing...

265 is nice, especially with LSD.

Not to be a punk but usually a new model will get released after an Anniversary/Limited Edition. Like the SE-Limited in '99 got released, then replaced by the 5th gen.

However, here's my dream AE for the record

Blue Majestic with cloth and Bose, 6-disc changer/5-speed/Y/Stillen & Avalon's catback and CAI/18x8 SSR GT1's plus Cattman coilovers and 100 shot from NOS. Dreams

Nissan took the time to add a chrome package (petals, shifter, door sills) and forgot a chrome emergency brake handle. They also forgot to carry the theme to the rear and put a more racer like muffler tip, in fact the IS300 has a better rear appearance!

Kenneth, I did a custom cat-back and it fits under my rear skirt just fine. It was made with a Greddy SP muffler. I wanted that "Greddy sound" but didn't want to wait for Greddy to get off their arsh and make one. I have attached a pic below.

You have some really cool, customized mods. Can't wait to see the results. I got your site bookmarked
