warped rotors?

I'm not sure how old my rotors are, but I know for the past 30k miles, I haven't replaced them. They are most likely 80k miles old lol.

Anyways, the car has been running OEM pads. The brakes have squeeled since the past 3 years I've had the car. Haven't changed them since.

I just want to swap out everything. However, how can you tell if a rotor is warped other than feeling it when braking? Can i feel it on the rotor itself or look for something?

I would think that after you can feel it pulsating (sp?) you either have to resurface it if its still good or get new pads and rotors. I know mine are bad but i don't have the time or money to change it right now.

it's kinda hard to see it without putting it on the lathe to turn it. sometimes when you have the front end up in the air with the wheels off, you can spin the hub and see if it binds up in a certian spot.

The vibration in the brake pedal should be good enough.

However, I have noticed that the face of the rotor sometimes changes color a little when they're warped. In my case, they went from a very shiny silver to a somewhat brownish silver... looked just overall dirtier than before.

usually, the fronts go bad, right?

i am tryin to avoid replacing all of them, bu at this point i think i might as well. I want cross drilled / slotted in the front and whatever in the back.

What do you guys suggest for cheap rotors on the rear?

Get OE for the rear. But IMO it'll be fugly with some crossdrilled/slotted up front and plains in the rear. Get the whole package.
