Well I was in front of my friends house today. I had to back up and The hill was kinda steep so I had to kinda mash on the accelorator to back up. Well the car won't go in reverse. The reverse gear is fried. The car goes into Nissan this Friday.

I'm very dissapointed.
In fact. I might even trade in my car now.

 

WTF??!!?? Agian?! dude.....check your state lemon laws....this would be like the third time your tranny has died.....you can try and make nissan buy your car back from you. This is not acceptable.......

dang.. maybe we should complain to carlos ghoshn and his quote "there is no problem in a company, a good product cannot solve" well, his product certainly has a big problem in the trany...

 

Yeah I would try to trade it in too. Give them hell man. Demand a 5-sp and some money back!

Or trade it in for something else. No one would blame ya.

 

my old mechanic who used to work for nissan actually told me once of a lady who's transmission was crap and went in about 10 times during warranty. eventually, they gave her a new car. let's just hope!

Why would your Level 10 tranny go out on you? Did you even get the Level 10 tranny rebuild?

Seriously though, your tranny shouldn't have screwed up. How much did you have to pay to get it done? Give some numbers so we can figure out if they really did do it or not.

I'm not doubting you, but doubting the shop. Sounds like you went to a shady shop... if it was Nissan that did the rebuild, then I doubt they'll fix it under warranty.

Since this is a Level 10 rebuild, isn't it their problem and not Nissan? Don't they have an awesome warranty?

 

Maybe Hogan should come down and fix my car.
Level 10 has a 5 year limited warrenty.

We will see what happens.

 

Hey..if there is one good thing about this experience. At least we get to see another riced out rental.

ive been starting to think that Level 10 are some shady folks...i called them the other day and i asked him why im not hitting 3200 rpms from a dead stop with the new TC....he told me the 3200 rpm measurement is with a flashed stall....how the hell can you set the stall on a flash stalled TC...SOMEONE TELL ME?!

 

No, Nissan will not warranty a Tranny that had level 10 work done to it, so that is why I think he was just messing with everyone that he had a level 10.....

ie.
if i flash stall the tc will i hit the rpms quoted by level 10 everytime? or is it variable?
