Is there a combo out there that will solve the boat feel?

Like what the title said, is there a combo out there that will solve the boat feel in the max. As of right now, I have AGX-KY2 and stock spring. From the 4x4 wheel gap, it has to be stock spring. I want to have to luxury crusing feel along with nice handling without the boat feel. Can my max achieve this goal?

Will lowering the spring help?

A different combo?

A rear sway bar will deferently help. I don't want a harsher ride compare to what i already have. Oh, by the way, i live in nyc. Pothole heaven.

Not that I've seen. Lowering spring = harsher ride. I've got the Illumina kit w/ tokico springs (one of the softest lowering spring) and even on setting 1/1, it's harsher than stock. It was a bit of a shock after driving on stock for 5 years, but after a couple of weeks I would never go back.

i don't know what to say to you, but i just did my aerospeed 2inch drop with tokico hp's. they feel just like stock's softness, but there is no boat ride effect. it's stiff, but it handles very well on bumps and corners. my bro has the h&r's and kyb gr2, and i think they are very bumpy compared to mine. if you want to solve your problem, you probably have to change you springs to aftermarket. also, a strut bar will tighten up your chassis. it is said to help a bit.

but with my S. tech springs......the max feels as close to a european sedan has it can get

If you do the install yourself you could try a few things and decide what you like. Try the shocks first and if you aren't satisfied you could try a soft lowering spring like H&R's.

Cheap illumina's

I've been contemplating Springs for quite some time now. It's either H&R's or S-Techs. From readin A Flood's opinion, S-Techs ride as close comfortably as possible when compared to Benzes and Audis, etc. Thing I question is on the Maxima Springs Page, it says:

Tein S-Tech Springs
Description: The Tein springs have a 2.2" front 1.6" rear drop. They produce a very even drop. More information is needed to know if they bottom out a lot due to their softer spring rate and low drop.

If there's a .6 difference from F & R, how exactly does it produce an even drop? Especially since the engine weight is in the front...As for comfort I know H&R's are claimed to be the most like stock, but how much worse are the S-Techs when compared to H&R's?

Oh, and I'm not trying to hijack the thread in anyway. I have myself a set of Illuminas and I think you should go get yourself a pair of these as well, go check out Kevlo's Link before that great deal gets filled up.

Progress or H&R springs, with Illuminas. Also Sub Frame Connectors, should be a nice smooth ride.

Because you have a larger wheel gap up front than out in the rear... FWD cars have a larger gap up front so the tires dont rub when you turn them or have wheel hop.

well the max stock, sits a little higher in the front than the rear

and from putting S tech's on they sit just slightly lower in the front than the rear...on level ground you can barely notice it
the S tech's give the front wheels a little more "tucked" look. here's a pic

Thanks for clearing that up for me Ant and A Flood nice pics man. That front shot is amazing. I can't wait till the Spring comes to detail mine out. As for the Springs, that side shot is nice and yes they look tucked or well, almost tucked which is nice. You have 18's?

Also, I'll be getting a box with 2 10's or 12's along with 2 amps in my trunk, you think this would even out the drop on S-Techs or would this now make it sag?
