$1,500.00-$2,000.00, hood, bumper & paint. As long as you didn't bend the frame, or do internal damage like the under-carriage. I knew someone who bent a control arm from the force and the direction of the hit.

i wonder if there would be a cost difference? i have to keep it below $1800 or it will affect my insurance rates.

What really stinks was that I hadn't had an accident in 13 years, I was proud of that record!

I'd say 4.5 gen conversion, and CF hood. The price of an OEM hood + paint on it will almost equal the price of a CF piece. If the 1/4 panel isn't scratched paint on the bumper will only be ~$200. Headlights are a b!tch though if they are broken. It doesn't look severe enought to have caused frame damage. Get the check from your insurance and do it yourself. The body shop will quote you for the sytrafoam absorber but I think that is $50 you don't need to spend. The clearance light looks to be alright. The grill looks to be fine also but the 95-96 grill will not line up with the 4.5 gen bumper.

OEM 97-99 bumper = $150
Headlights = $100-150 in FS forum
New DC's = $45
CF = $700
Paint = $200

The body shop will quote you for labor and thats gonna be at least $400. Inform them that it can't go above $1800. They'll write it up for $1700 and you'll probably have $300 left over to help with your debuctible. Also, if you do a 97/9 conversion the fogs you have now won't fit. You could sell those for like $60-90 and pick up some good aftermarket fogs for $45.

What did you hit? A suburban just rear-ended me and my **** is fxcked but he has some paint chipped off a tow hook.

you have to also take into consideration if he bent his radiator support or not. That maybe pricey to replace.

I'm almost positive that the support didn't bend. If it was damaged the hood would have to be a lot more fxcked than that. He says he hit the bumper of a PT cruiser. The PT sits at nearly the same height as the Max and therefore the impact was taken by the bumper reinforecment.

A got a new 95/6 grill about a year ago for $75 primed. It was brand new aftermarket.

I rear ended one of those big ryder trucks with the hydrolic lift on the back and mine was only around 400ish I think. Just needed a new hood, some paint, and new headlights. But i was luck that I didn't do more...but it doesn't look like yours is half as bad as mine was...

In my accident I didn't crack any lights either. It was $5600 worth of repair but the lights were only messed because the bracket broke. The glass on the 95/6 headlights is incredibly strong. The bracket will almost always brake before the glass.

icedogg, rear-ending a truck is really bad. That means you were extremely close.

I Could See From The Picture That You Probably Bent The Black Metal Bar (bumper Bar ? Is That What Its Called) That The Bottom Of The Headlight Rests On, And The Metal Bracket Where The Top Of Headlight Screws On To. Both Should Be Bent Back, The Bottom Is Very Hard To Do ( Thick Steel) The Top Is A Cynch With Headlight Removed. If Its Not Perfect Grill Will Be Messed Up

it was hard enough to close the sunroof shade most of the way, but certainly nothing worthy of the airbag going off. I'm taking it in monday to have an estimate done. And yes, all the lights are OK.

okay..well correct me if im wrong that is Pearl White. 3-Stage paint. Its gonna cost hell more then $200 to paint the hood and if u want the bumper to match. The body shop will have to blend them into the fenders. Its going to atleast cost over $1000 in paint/labor if u want everything to match. But if you do a 97+ conversion id like to buy ur fog lights if they arent cracked.

How much would a (used) 97-99 bumper cost (called a few places they only had 95-96 and 94-down. What kind of aftermarket fogs are you thinking? I've never heard of any foglights that cheap, where'd you get them?

I'd go for the certifio lights, if I were you, at the same time.

Pearl white aka QN0 is 3 stages, white, pearl and clearcoat. The worst is when you have to match the paint... its almost like mixing paint once and painting something and then going again later and trying to mix the same paint again to match it up... very hard to do.

Go with the 97-99 conversion. You can get over $100 each for your foglights, it's very hard to find 95-96 fog lights used, it took me three months and cost $120.

The cost of painting your car is gonna be expensive. I had to paint the front of my car, and it cost over $1000 for a good paint job because they had to blend it.

Damn, I'm getting off lucky. My guy only makes me pay for paint. Small town people are good for stuff like that though.

You are very right. I forgot about the special requirements of pearl white. More reason to get a CF hood.

$100 for a used fog? They can be had new at the dealership for only slightly more.
