I know a similar topic was covered with the MEVI vs. the stock USIM on 4th gens. That was an awesome read!

But, it was curious to see the effects of a 4th gen with modified ECU (from say JWT, rev limiter of 7k) compared to a stock 4th gen. (Preferably 5 speed). Can someone point me to some links if this has already been discussed? BTW, what sorts of HP gains can I expect over stock?

How about a more simple question....
What sorts of HP gains can I expect from a modified ECU? (checked the stickies w/o any luck). I've heard that if you don't install a MEVI, the maxima can become a stoplight BEAST!

 

expect a 10-15 hp gain, according to maxmods. yes, u will mos def feel the extra power off the line, just good luck not spinning ur tires, especially when u floor it. dont forget about the cEL

 

Actually, what exactly is CEL? I've seen all over the forum. Sorry, don't mean to steal your thread. Just curious.

It would be 7-8 hp througout the band and a peak gain of about 10-12

 

wow that's some pretty good gains. but is that from stock with just an ecu upgrade?
