Y-Pipe suggestions?

My next investment is probably going to be a Y-Pipe and I'm not sure what company to go with? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking about this one:

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

thats a good y-pipe from what i read in the reviews, but its quite pricey. there is a new y-pipe that came out from warpspeed peformance with a new super-flo flex section, you can read about it here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33631

i myself have a warpspeed y-pipe and i love it.

supposedly the super-flo flex section is better flowing and quieter compared to normal flex sections, warpspeed and budget make similar y-pipes, they both make stainless steel, warpspeed is made in the US, a little more expensive and budget is made in Canada, a little cheaper, overall, you get the same performance and sounds pretty much the same, a little raspier and throatier note with a stock muffler. You can expect anywhere from 10-20 hp gain depending on what other mods you have on your car, best bang for the buck mod you can buy.

i wonder if the new superflo y from wsp really does what it says it does...

"we've tested it for over a year, and no hiss, no bees in a can, ever!"

wtf...

Actually, notice the quotes around EVER? Maybe there is fine print involved due to the additional quotes!!

does anyone know about the y-pipe and header combos on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33631

would this be better, or getting a y pipe with a new super flo section, like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33631 ? thoughts?

those are stone racing headers and y... its just the gains of a y-pipe with about an additional 3 from the headers... not really worth it unless you can win it for $250...

im really skeptical about wsp's new design...

problem is that there are so many mixed reviews about the budget and warpspeed y pipes that results will only determine on a case by case basis. I've read that cattman, although mad expensive, is the best fitment w/no bees. Warpspeed and budget have a lot of good reviews regarding fitment, but bees in a can just varies.

I also recently installed a Stillen y-pipe on my max. I have heard that Custom Enterprise, along w/ Warpspeed also have a good y-pipe. I haven't had any problems w/ my y-pipe either; no bee buzzing - just a good deep tone. Just like someone also said, it's not cheap but if u know someone that can get u a deal then it would be a good thing.

now we got stone racing, and the wsp superflo... id really like to hear everyones y-pipe experience so i can decide which one to go with...

im probably going to end up with a cattman... for price and for quality...

edit: so a lot of people can make up their minds as well...

i would like to know if the super flo flex section actually gives HP gains. will it give more HP gains than the headers? i am honestly thinking about getting the y pipe along with the headers (and this combo does not come with the flex section). anyone have any thoughts on the new super flo section or the gains that come from headers?

The gains come from the use of larger diameter piping and mandrel bends.

The primary duty of the flex section is to absorb movement to take strain off the exhaust system.

You guys are pinching over a mere 1,2,3 HP (IF any) for something you wouldn't feel and would only be shown through dyno runs.

im not worried about gains, but if they really dont give into the bees in a can, or anything like stated on the auction... thats what keeps me from getting a wsp y pipe...

Wow, thanks for the input guys, I think I may go for a WSP one off ebay. So headers don't give much hp gain? Would it be wise to get a Y-Pipe and headers combo? Or is it not worth the money? Does anyone have any experience with Stone Mountain Racing?

No, a hi-flow cat is not recommended, unless your running forced induction, the hi-flow cat is just a waste of money and gives you no or at most very small power gains (1-2 hp).

I got the WSP y-pipe 4 years ago and I felt th e extra power right away. As far as stone racing goes, the owner started a thread here not to long ago. He was looking for volunteers to have the stone racing headers installed and dynoed. After months of the run around, the dyno chart was never released. So I wouldnt buy it without seeing the dyno graph.
Just my 2 cents

My bro has wsp y-pipe and I did feel gains and bees. I actually like the sound and feel of his set-up. He also has greddy cat-back, place racing cai. So it was a noticeable gain in power. The car is wrecked now and everything is for sale. PM me for info.
