Water C ock Valve/Solenoid

If I removed the water c ock valve/solenoid would it have a negative affect on my heat?
I would assume that it would open up the path to the heater core fully and the air/mix door would control the temp settings. correct?

My heat is garbage and it's getting too damn cold. I flushed the heater core, replaced the thermostat and bled the coolant system for air. The car was 3ft in the air and I ran the engine until I couldn't shake out anymore bubbles.
I've tested the auto climate control system (via FSM self diagnosis procedure) and it's operating fine. The only fault my system has is a malfunctioning sun load sensor. That's not a big deal though.

My only other ideas are to remove the heater core for a visual inspection and see how the heat is without a water c ock valve/solenoid.

I've officially lost my mind...
Any input here people?

uhhhhh huhuhuh you saic c ock.

ummm, try removing it and see what happens. can't hurt anything. you can usually pick up some little Ts at the parts store for $2-3 that will allow you to just plug both hoses in and clamp it down. they have a little screw on cap on it to let air/water out as well, so you can bleed the system from that end too. cool stuff.

try that and see what happens.

I had mine out today- I put one of those Prestone flush T's in it's place for awhile. I'm having heat troubles too. Does that 3' in the air bleeding thing apply to all the Maxima's? Mine's an 89...

Soooo, is there a possibility that my ENTIRE heating problem (or lack thereof) is due to air bubbles in the system?? Thinking back, I may have done some hose changing a year or so ago, just prior to when I started having this problem.

Wow. This is crazy.

very possible if you didn't bleed the system.
