Brakes....here we go again..

I had my pads and rotors replaced 2 weeks ago....at 41,000 miles, after hearing a loud grinding noise.

Brakes sounded fine the past 2 weeks, and now the sound is back, not as loud, but I can hear the grinding noise around 0-10MPH....

I can see the rotors are new....did I get screwed somehow? hmmmm.. any ideas?

is after you have been driving? it has been raining like crap in NY and i know that when it is wet and i start driving my brakes grab really quick and grind a little.

after i have been on the highway for 20min and i get off after not really using my brakes the whole time (in the rain) they act funny as well, untill i warm them up again

That's a good point....lots of rain....but its that same noise as before, so I'm really concerned....I'm hoping the noise will just go away somehow haha.

I had basically the same issue. You will need to turn the stereo up and it will go away...

probably your piston is freezing up with the caliber housing. I remember I saw lots of rust over those area when I replaced the rotor and pad last time.

make sure that the pins were cleaned and regreased... if they were not then they might not be retracting. it is easy to do, just get never sieze lubricant...
