Help with memory seats

Help with memory seats

Just wondering if there is any trick as how to program the memory seat's in an 02 Max. I followed nstructions in the mannual with no luck. Just wodering becouse my wife and I both drive the car and it is kind of a pita to keep adjusting. Anyone? thanks!

Did you make sure that the switch on the dash is not on cancel? That was my problem when I first bought my Maxima. If it is on Cancel, then the seat won't slide back for you to get out and the memory seat function will not work.

Yeah I did. I'm gonna play with it again and if I cant get it to work I'll bring it in.

the switch on the dash is just the auto in/out, it shouldnt have anything to do with the memory seats on the door. just put the car in park, have the car either running or the key to ON. adjust the seat to where you want it. press SET and then press and hold 1 or 2 until the light on the button flashes. that should be it

Thats what I was doing in accordance with the mannual and nothing was happening I guess its time to bring it in and use my service plan for the first time!

haha, yeah, if thats not workin, def. go to the dealer. also, make sure the light is blinking, cuz a few times i did it too fast and it didnt save.

Duh, Thanks guys. Thought something had gone wrong with my seat memory because it quit going back and up today. Checked the defeat switch, and sure enough - in my groping around in the dark during my commute this morning, must have toggled. Thanks again, goes to show even a "know-it-all" can use some helpful friends.

but it does. if its not on auto you cant program or use the memory.
