Yea man, just picked up a Vitek LSD off ebay for 300 buckeroooooos doubt I want to attempt this one on my own but for 300 bucks it wont hurt paying someone else to do it. I just ran across it and it was too good a deal to pass up so I snagged it. Im hoping it will be around 200 to install it, but who knows. 1 stock differential for sale very soon!

It's not. The transmissions are the same for all 4th Gens.

DAYYYYYUMMMMMMM.....

i'm looking at a grand easy to have this thing put in by a transmission shop....
They have to pull the whole tranny and split it apart to get at it, thats 8 hours labor, plus gaskets, plus oil, plus filter(might as well while its apart) plus 2 more hours labor to put it in. No wonder this guy sold it.

Yes sir, if you think about it, its almost as much work than rebuilding a transmission. If you have the mechanical knowledge and can deal with the downtime, do it yourself. If not, do what you gotta do.

You should be able to do it yourself.

I am interested in knowing how good these things are. My friend bought a maxima with one already installed and it doesn't do anything. He has no more traction at all and he can still spin one tire over another. I am going to have to check it with it off the ground to see if it is working at all. It may just be worn out or the break in may not have been performed correctly. Make sure you break it in. I think you are supposed to go in a figure eight for like 1/2 an hour or something.

I don't know a lot about viteks or how good they are on other maximas or other cars but LSDs cost lots of money. Anything that can go for $300 is not going to be a worthwhile LSD. A good one cost at least $1000. Quaifes now cost almost $1500 to $2000 since they are no longer being imported. I wish they would get a Kaaz or start to get quaifes again. Right now new we can only get Vitek, phantom grip, and OEM (I30, canada, and AE). Out of the three I actually trust OEM much more than any of those. Stay away from phantom grip.

I can't say mine does much for handling, but I'm beginning to believe it might be the tires now. I took my cv shafts of yesterday to change them and was stunned to find out I had LSD.

Yep, the trans code has a "V" in it. Would have been good if I'd checked that before ordering my axles I'm not sure why many models in Canada get the LSD and USA doesn't.

It is listed on the stillen site as suggested price $1100, their price $895. I got it off ebay new in box it was never even opened, so it is acutally an $1100 item.

i tried a gd with cattman a lil while back on either quaife/kaaz, and very few interested on spending lawyer fees on a 'worthless mod'. oh well.
