Contest for 5th gen Spoiler...

CustomMaxima.com is having a design contest for a 5th generation spoiler!
What they are looking for is a clean, low design that maxima owners would be proud to flaunt! Design a spoiler with photoshop or however you chose and I will have people vote on them! The winning spoiler will be made by CustomMaxima and in return the designer will receive their spoiler FREE! Any takers? Any question further e-mail me at

I don't have any artistic talent what so ever, nor do I have photo shop. Somebody should try and do a nice rear lip spoiler for our Max's. I think that would look real smooth. I've seen the paradox-systems one, but I think it should come out more and look more like the "Spoon" style.

Wow, no that's not what they are doing... they want to design one that the maxima community likes and would like. Can't be mad when they are aiming to please... sorry you don't like their kit either. Please only post if your interested in helping me out to come up with a design not shoot my idea down! This is to help those out who want a new designed spoiler.

they tried this once

with the r34 kit, they lied to us for over a year about it, then ended up producing a POS fiberglass kit,

my money is they will do the same with the spoiler, its funny how a company is so stuborn they wont listen to the enthusiasts that buy their own products

i definitely wont contribute

I wouldn't buy an aftermarket spoiler (I like the OEM one just fine), but I always thought the G35c spoiler would look sweet on a maxima...if the base was redesigned to FIT a maxima (which it wouldn't now).

I don't have photoshop on this computer though, so not gonna make a pic right now....

no...i don't care about that, you're right. My bikes and skis create plenty of aerodynamic drag :rolleys: If you really wanted those clean lines you'd lose the window thingies....btw...I'll make sure to find that paint

that's so cute....are you and your roomie Cutlr sitting at side-by-side desks both typing on the org? I can see it now

i am confused since the fact that a car has two spoilers.
A bumper spoiler which is like a bottom lip and a spoiler for the trunk.
Which are they talking about?

maximagirl;

if you work at custom maxima, maybe you can encourage them to stop making such ricey stuff, and start lobbying them for fabricating and selling performance stuff. We don't need any more ugly bodykits and wings.
How about a turbo kit contest ?? : ]

Cutlr - Arent there a ton of Honda sites you can go to? Maybe if you start over there fresh, people will actually like you for a while. Sadly, no time can make up the past here....

Speaking of wind resistance, Sooner has to push the wheel left constantly to fight that dinger on his right side. He said it was a lady in a parking lot that did it, but he forgot to mention that it was Cutlr that was behind the wheel.

While Josh will give you 1 1/2 cars, I will give you till next week.... and the brake.

If they do make a new style spoiler it would be great if it bolted up using the stock holes.

Wow guys I had no idea about the (body kit) issue. That's not my deal. Sorry to hit a sore spot! I sincerely apologize... I just wanted a different spoiler and wanted some input. Then I was going to run it by Greg to see if he could make it. I really like the idea about the G 35 wing. It is very clean looking. thanks everyone for the input and again I am really sorry I hit a sore spot. Just want to desgin a nice spoiler that max guys will like. Happy Holidays guys ---- sorry again!

By the way, Soonerfan was referring to the G35c "lip" spoiler. I was referring to the raked wing spoiler on the G35 sedan.
