fuel meter light

The low fuel indicator light on my '96 max doesn't work anymore. How can i fix it? New Fuse?

I believe all the lights in the guages run off of the same fuse so if a fuse was blown your guages wouldnt light up at all, could be the light is out, I think (dont know for sure) its a led so you'd need to desolder and replace.

just speculating.

here is a pic of the back of the tachometer, hopefully this helps.

may just be a matter of taking out the cluster seeing what type of bulb/led and replacing.

I noticed mine doesn't work either so I pulled out sending unit and jumped the little cylinder on the bottom of the unit and my light came right on. So I know my sending unit has a bad part I think you have to change the whole sender you can't just solder a new one on there to get the light to work again.

Very true, especially now in the winter... its not a good idea to let your tank get that low.

I always count my mils per tank. So even in my needle is at 1/4 and my trip is at 300 I know it's time to fill up real soon.
