ABS light has been coming on
Two times in the last two weeks the ABS light has come on. The first time it happened, I drove for 50 miles with it on. When I stopped the engine then re-started it, the light was off.
The second time the light came on, I immediately stopped the engine and restarted it. I had to re-start twice before the light would stay off.
Anyone had a similar problem?
BTW, I installed Powerstop crossdrilled rotors on the front and Porterfield R4S pads all around about 4 weeks ago.

When the abs light comes on and you turn off the car and restart the engine. The abs light will stay off until your brakes are applyed. At that point the light will remain on until the trouble code is repaired and or erased, but will come back on if fault is not fixed.Suggest to have it checked at your local dealer. When the abs light is on you will have normal brake action.
GOOD LUCK!
I know that if the ABS light comes on while driving, or doesn't turn off after starting the car, that the sytem should be checked out as there is a problem with it. . . It seems weird that your turns on and of and keeps resetting. Since the ABS system goes through a self check when the car is turned on, the light should keep turning on when the car is started. So I don't know if it is a constant problem or not but it would probably be best to get it checked out.
