It should be, instead of asking us, why not go to the dealer that is gonna do the work and ask them?

Do you think that mods, such as lowering springs, would make them decline the warranty?

Only if they can prove the springs caused the CV boot to rip.

I just had mine replaced... the dealer told me that it looked like it was punctured from a rock or something while I was driving. Since it wasn't a defective part, and the tear was caused by some outside element, it was not covered under warranty. He didn't mention anything to me about my lowering springs.

Yeah I would call Bob Moore, or the one in Edmond, I forgot the name, but they are the one's I have called to ask about warranty stuff before, and they seem to be cool with aftermarket stuff, instead of being all, YES IT VOIDS THE WARRANTY!!

I had lowering springs on when I brought it in and they didn't say anything. I was kind of nervous that they wouldn't cover it. I had them replace my coils when I had a Y-pipe on and other mods. But it does depend on the dealership,
By the way, I seriously doubt that a rock could have busted a CV loint. There's no way, I would have said something.

I'm certain that the CV is covered under the powertrain warranty. However, the dealer has to prove or show to you if your lower suspension interfering with the CV boot that cause to rip. I highly doubt it caused that.
