I need some touch up paint and I first need to find the color code...

Can anyone tell me where this is found on a 95 Maxima SE and what the code looks like (so Idont get it confused with another number)

first things first.. don't post the same thing in the general forum and the fourth gen forum.. pick one.. in this case, since it's related to a fourth gen, you probably should have stuck with just posting in here...

and since you just joined in dec 2004 (not that I am old school .org by any sense of the phrase), you should probably invest some time in reading the stickies / faq's up top there.. ya know the annoying threads that hardly ever change.. you'd be amazed at the amount of information contained within.. for instance, in the Fourth Gen faq stickied up top, the answer to your question is right on the first page..

I looked on the inside of the drivers side door and all I found was

GAWR FR #
AR #
and then there were 2 other numbers (one was under the scanning lines)

are any of these the color code?

 

I read that stickied and it says
" Vehicle ID Plate located on the passenger side firewall under the hood."

I look under the hood on the passenger side and see nothing?

Where is the firewall?

Do I have to move something to see the id plate?

 

I don't think you have to move anything to see it.. the firewall is the back of the engine bay, look there, there should be a metal plate with your vin and other info there.. from that plate you should be able to get your color code..

 

I have a VIN number plat right by the steering wheel but I dont see any other plate...

Why would I not have this? I just recently bought this car from the dealership...

Also Can you please tell me the color code for the goldish/tanish maximas?

you have the plate on your car.. you're just not seeing it.. there's no other way to explain how to find out the color code..

 

I dont the plate

I looked everywhere man
There is the stamped VIN and then on allsides I have the taped VINnumber but no plate

Can you tell fromt hepictures I posted? Those are the same color as my car...

Is there anywhere else this plate could be besides under the hoood?

 

All I see is the emission control label ,the engine serial number, the VIN # plate and the, VIN number( chasis number)


The plate we are looking for should be all the way to the back on the passengers side of the car right? - IF that is what we are talking about Im missing that...

Is there anyway you can tell from the pictures?

The little plastic rivets to hold it are there, but no plate.

 

Look on your firewall on your passenger side. Should be a little silver square plate with your VIN # and some other info on it. The color code is on there.

 

Mine is a 95 SE and same color as yours. For touching up, you would want to get the NS 00594 (Pebble Beige Met. CG2) by Duplicolor. Got it at Kraggen for $5.99. If you are coloring a larger area, you'd need the spray, but its a different number though. Look it up at the store's catalog.
