aftermarket > bose

I have bose right now and if funds permitted I would change it all...right now I just have an added sub, amp and headunit with bose speakers

Honestly, you can get better quality sound and better quality gear from the aftermarket for less time and money than it would take to install a factory blose system.

ur better off going after market alot of people say the bose starts giving them problems cd starts skipping, not reading it , i mean bose would look more clean for that stock look but after market is better way to go

maybe you meant "Blows", anyway, that is kind of misleading. For a stock system, it is good. I'm leaving my speakers in, and getting a kenwood deck put in because my cd player won't accept cd's anymore. The Bose is only considered "bad" when it is broken, after say 130,xxx miles, which isn't bad at all.

Are you looking for looks or sound quality? If looks is what you want, just get yourself a bose headunit from a junk yard and call it the day because wiring the bose system into your non-bose max is more trouble that it is worth.

I nice aftermarket h/u with a good built-in amplifier and good quality speakers will sound better than your bose anyday.

people need to stop bumping old a$$ threads!!!!! this should be in the audio and electronics forum. bose=fail bose seriously sucks its crap dont waste money on it. i had tweets in my back pillars and my fronts in my last car and i added another set of 6x9s in it. u can do anything with the rite knoledge and money. honestly its not worth any of the headache to have bose if ur not equipped with bose u should be thankful its a mess when it goes wrong which is often

For cars already equipped with Bose, an aftermarket, quality head unit will improve the sound quality dramatically.
