why not just get a k&n filter and drop it in ur box, or buy an intake for 30 bucks of ebay and get a filter for that, thay also make adapters for just a filter where ur box went.

The stickies don't have info on this?

Wherever you get the filter should specify whether it'll fit a Maxima or not, if they don't, ask. I don't really know anything about cone filters, so I don't KNOW the answer to your question, but I think you just replace the airbox. It should come with some kind of instructions.... Anyways, enjoy the free bump, hope you find the answer.

All you would need to do is take the top portion of the filter box off and screw on the filter to the MAF. It's what I did and it works just like any other short ram intake.

you could get any alloy or even pvc pipe with a 3" diameter and place that on the adjustable boot from the intake then cut holes in it and stick all ur sensors and vacums.....then just slap a cone filter with a 3" diameter fitting.

I just bought the boomz air intake off ebay. I tried to figure out how to install the thing but it looked like the piping was just wrong for the car. So i just took the adapter that they gave me and connected it to the mid pipe then put the cone over that and used a ring clamp so the filter wouldnt come off and the thing sounds like a beast. Here some pics of it

I took the basic idea from this website
http://www.brianv.net/mods/filter/

Mine just doesnt look as ghetto with the duck tape. Although he was very creative in doing that. Soon i will get the K&N intake part number RU2820. Thats what Nismotic has on his and told me to get. It jsut fits.

all you need is what is called a MAF (mass airflow sensor) adaptor and a filter, however you can go farther than that.....i just got this one off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634
that same seller has a bunch of them so just search maxima intake on ebay
the maf adapter is made out of aluminum and mine needed to be drilled, i was worried that i couldnt be able to drill it my self but i decided to give it a try and with a centerpunch using a nail and a hammer and a real cheap cordless drill but a good bit it was pretty easy. other than that there a few tricks with this kit but for the cost it cant be beat i dont think..
plus it sounds AMAZING let me say that again it sounds AMAZING
i'm a happy customer
