severe front-end shaking and jerky acceleration after new plugs and fuel filter

Yesterday (12/30) I got new platinum spark plugs and and a fuel filter on my '99 GXE, which is at 61,000 miles.

I didn't notice anything unusual yesterday, though I didn't drive around too much. Today, the front end of the car has been shaking really, really hard when it's idling (hard enough that I can feel my seat shaking). Also, when I accelerate from idle, it's pretty jerky and it almost feels as if the car's about to stall out.

I've read some posts about typical explanations for this, such as bad knock sensors or maybe even a PCV valve, but those explanations don't make sense to me, simply because this problem absolutely came out of left field, although just about immediately after I had this work done on it.

Anybody have any ideas what's going on?

recheck all of the connections at the coils, check for any hoses that may have been knocked off or broken. i hope you didn,t drop & damage a plug or get a bad one. you did check the plug gap even though they're preset, just to be sure. not sure what effect a filter install wrong would have (flow direction).

its your coils... damn 99's i had the same problem, i had just installed my y-pipe and turned on engine to test, and my entire car was shakeing... pulled each coil out, and found the culprit, replaced the coil, and voila im running fine :P good luck!
