If I change out rotors, do I need to change pads too?

My front rotors are severely warped and are too thin to resurface. I just got new brake pads a couple months ago. Now, is it possible for me to reuse my brake pads? Has anyone done this? I'm thinking that the pads could possibly cut grooves in my new rotors, so I was thinking about sanding it down before installing it. Any input?

you should be ok, but if the pads are getting low you might as well get new ones so you don't get in there twice you know.....
