I normally change the oil and filter out together. Change anywhere between 3k and 5k. I know, lots of studies that say if you are using synthetic you can run longer but that's my choice. No problems with synthetics. I use RedLine synthetic MT90 in my manual transmission. Smooth, probably even more noticeable if you are in a cold climate. I'm in Savannah, GA so no snow for me
But other's say it's great for the snowbelt. Been thinking of using Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil for my manual but read a post saying not to use GL5 spec oil in it (Daniel B. Martin???) So, am sticking with the Redline for now. Just changed it so it will be good for another 60K.Cheers

Thanks!
