When can I wax on fresh paint?

I was told I can't wax my car till my paint has cured. It has been scince December 10th scince painting was completed and I'm dying to wax. So anyone who can tell me how long it will take till I can wax that would help me out alot.

I heard from a friend who has a background in painting cars that to wait for about a month before waxing something freshly painted.

say it while you're driving in the car...then when she's sitting there stunned or getting all pissed say "man, i really gotta tap this"

then after she shows you her true colors, tell her you're talking about waxing your car and tapping the oil pan plug hole because i stripped the threads"...there's another one, after you tell her that say, "but seriously, i'd like to strip your threads and have you work on my connecting rod" it'll cost you a slap in the face and the chance with the girl so do it with a date that you can't stand

Technically, the accepted practice is to wait between 30 and 60 days before waxing and polishing.
