clearing 98 max needle gauges. need help!

clearing 98 max needle gauges. need help!

wuddup guys
ive been doing the blue lighting mod and im almost done but the only thing holding me back is the 4 red needles. ive sand them, used nail polish remover, and some other crap i still cant get them to clear. can anyone help me?

you sanded them and couldnt get it off? i dunno about the 98 needles but on the 97's it came off pretty easily...

I had that same problem when I tried doing that on my 99 gauges.. I just left them alone not really in the mood to mess anything up.

???? 99 gauges don't come off. 99 Gauges its all orange. You won't be able to make them clear. You could only do that to the SE.

On my 99 SE needles the paint also didn't want to come off at first but it eventually came off with alot of effort. Once I started using lower grit sand paper it allowed me to clear them much quicker but it still takes alot of effort. If you want to check your needles to see if they are clear, hold them sideways and shine a flashlight on them. You should be able to see the 2 layers. One is the orange paint, the other is the clear plastic. Also, don't be fooled by the reflection that the paint may cause in the plastic. Took me a few mintues of looking to find out what side the paint was on my needles at first (bottom). Good luck to you.
