'97 map light bulb change-out

I need to change the bulb of the map light. Not the dome light, but the map light directly above the shifter.

I can't seem to figure out how the bulb comes out.

Thanks,

Jim_Iowa

I remember having to use a small flat screwdriver, wrap it in cloth, and pry the clear cover open. Look in your owners manual, there may be a diagram there.

Thanks Jae.

I could get the cover off, it was getting the bulb out that got me.

I just figured it out though. Pushing in on the bulb, and then rotating it about 90 degrees.

Try this:

I could not find this bulb anyplace locally... I didn't try the dealer, though they may be able to get one (they irritate me too much with their price gouging)...
