It's a toss-up...you'd have to race him to find out.

IMO you will take him. I raced a 2k max with just an intake, auto, and beat him. Now I didn't whip him, but I was slowly pulling on him. From what I've heard from the 2k guys, there auto trannys suck worse than ours. Now if he has mods or 5speed, bye bye. Good luck.

Driver race?? huh?? i don't think so, i raced a few 2kmax, including AE max. AE is pretty tough to beat, i raced him from 60-120mph, and i only pulled 2 car length. that is about how much i can pull on a 2k mustang GT.

Well, my parents just got a new 2k Maxima and I have always wanted to know how fast it actually is. So, I think that my father and I will go against each other sometime soon, maybe at a red light or something. Well will see. Wish me luck against the 2k.

my first time at the track, I raced a 2K 5spd (like mine)... we both were new and did quite a few runs against each other... I won every one of them by a decent amount (with the excpetion of one run when I was turning the A/C off and forgot to watch the lights DOH!)

it's not like I was a much better driver because I will pulling on him even when we had about equal 60's

So I would say the unless the 5th gen auto tranny is better than the 4th gen auto... you should win.

deciding factor is that the 2ks are fatter...
