who else is gettin REALLY antsy for winter to end?
not just cuz of the cold, almost sub zero temperatures (9 degrees out, but the windchill makes it feel like -2), but so i can start putting all the toys ive bought on the car. ive got a closet packed with stuff, and my lip kit in another closet, all waiting for winter to end. the only thing i dont have yet is the rims, and thats waiting for uncle sam to give me some money back.
so anyone else basically got a pile of stuff you can just look at and cant do anything with yet?

It just started.... relax, sit back, enjoy now. You'll get old and die before long so enjoy your time now.
......... can you tell I'm in a meeting with 20 guys all 15 years older than me, and all they're talking about surgery, old age, and dying?

I'm very eager to start modding, and I've even considered just doing the interior and doing the exteriro in the summer.
I'd like to use my parent's heated garage, but it would take all day of expensive electirc heat to warm a 700 sq ft garage in single digit temps!

I leave it in the garage all winter (unless there's a nice day).
Im in the same boat as you, I really can't wait for this winter to end. So far its been really good compaired to what we had last year. (it felt like 6 months of winter last year) We have about a month or so left so im just counting off the days..

last year i put my rims on (my Accord) at the end of march/beginning of april, and it friggin snowed 2 times after that!

You have no idea. In addition to some general work I need to do to the car, I have a turbo waiting to go in. I am just not man enough to do any work in the 5 degree weather. My garage is not even insulated, let alone heated.
I have a bunch of stuff to do too. I've just been toughing it out with my space heater. But I'm definitely waiting for at least a 20+ degree day to drop the engine back in because the tail of the car has to stick out the door to allow room for the cherry picker.

despite the fact that im not really 100% sure how to install most of the stuff i have, my friends and i could at least TRY it all if our garage was not packed with furniture and boxes from the recent move.
on top of that, i dont really want to lower the car and then get slammed with an unexpected snow storm the next day. (im also not sure if the lowered car will manage to get out of my parents driveway cleanly, haha.)

I just moved to California a few months ago, and I just got my new Maxima SL 2 weeks ago. It's been so cold lately that I don't even want to go out driving. I thought California is all about the sun and beaches?
I left my car in an underground garage. Yeah, it's a 95 and it's 10 years old but the insurance company likes to kill my wallet with their ridiculous prices and it's actually cheaper for me to own two cars when you factor in how much cheaper maintenance and insurance is on my second car.
At that rate (10k miles a year), it'll last forever.
I have a VQ35DE waiting to go in and just about every bolt-on imaginable. I can't close my closet anymore.

You know it's sad when you cruise with the windows down because it feels so warm out, and it's 35 degrees...
I'd just like to get back to changing my oil and washing my car by hand, etc...the small things. I'm having the stealer change my oil tomorrow because I don't want to mess with the cold and my dirty garage (from tracking in all the salt/sand on the snow) just yet.

i HATE the cold weather, but i like the snow. i just pulled out some interior pieces (pillars and rear speaker deck) to fiberglass over the next month, so that will keep me busy.
yea, my 86 astro van isnt so fun either

Being from Alaska....the weather is -30 today with the over night lows of -45. Yes its damn cold and I am ready for the summer since we have a summer and a winter only. 7 Months of cold and snow is too much but when its 24 hours of sunlight this summer (June 22) then I know why im in alaska.
I love the winter. I have alot of fun driving my Maxima. I don't even miss having a truck in the winter. I don't have any trouble even with a 2" drop. The only reason I would look forward to spring is to put my 17s back on. I hate the sawblades

*edit*
btw, why does your dad ride on drop zone springs if yours broke and you tell people not to buy them?
I'm looking forward to this summer because I think I might get a new car! Still not 100% sure though, but this cold sucks. My sister was smart and made the decision to go to school down in FL... Meanwhile, I'm stuck here in NJ! And my check engine light just came on! And I'm gonna have to do another oil change in the cold in about 600 miles! Grrr!

Winter is great! you can turn your car around without moving at all! Plus my rear brakes seized, my car is filthy no matter how much I wash it, good times, good times. My new exhaust has been sitting in my back seat for a week because my mechanic is MIA and I need his lift. Nevermind the fact that I bought a 96 gsxr 750 project bike that I gotta put together too. Please be spring like, tomorrow.

From the Farmer's Almanac:
i dont know how much i believe them, but it seems to be semi-correct up until now. i hope they are wrong about the snowfall in march tho!

I am definitely ready for spring. I just bought my max last month, and have plenty of ideas and mods i want to work on, but there is no way that I am working outside in the 0 degree weather on it. Patience is a virute, that I dont seem to have!
I love the winter too, snow fun fire place, but I moved from that environment a while ago so its mainly just windy and cold, but I can wait, so I can get up some money get my mods ordered, so by the time I have all that I want, it should be spring, and down here spring feels like summer sometimes, I can start painting grill, and doing repairs/maintinance.
I'm looking forward to the spring/summer meets
