Easy way to shine up your engine
I was looking thru my closet and i found some model paint, and this was right after i was trying to clean my intake manifold, which is impossible to make look nice.
So i took the paint and tried it... Testors Steel model paint is almost identical to the color of the intake manifold. So i started the car and warmed the engine up some so the paint would dry well and started painting. It really made a huge difference in the look of my car. It looks much cleaner and also alot newer. I recommend it for everyone out there.

Yeah mine defintely doesnt look that nice. Im not really sure what happened to mine it looks like it oxidized and there was no hope of making it clean up.
I'd be surprised if that paint holds up to the heat there, but if it works, cool
They sell high temp paints for brake calipers and engine parts that would work for that. You could paint it yellow and be really cool if you want.

Haha, yeah i actually have some brake caliper paint because i just painted my calipers as i am getting ready for some real wheels for my car. If it doesnt hold up i just might have to finish off that bottle.

For some reason my JDM engine came coated with some kind of lacquer or clear coat. There was also some orange paint on parts of it.
I have the AT JDM one if anyone is interested.
My original one still looks pretty decent. Hey, Shawn, what did you use on yours to get it to look so nice?

That's hilarious Matt! Was your manifold spot free?
Yeah, I decided to change em out after I made it about 20 feet down my driveway and the car started sliding side to side due to around 2" of snow.
