I, too, have tried and failed to set the code correctly per the instructions given. And I haven't the slightest clue as to how to go about it. Sorry!

same here, I think my countless wiring projects have messed it up. I haven't had a chance to dig in and figure it out but if I do I'll post a thread about it.

you need to follow the rolling code programing procedure. check out www.homelink.com

you follow the normal procedure and there are a few other steps after that which require you to push the button on the garage unit itself.

If you have a rolling code garage door opener, you have to press it 3 times once you click the button on the garage door opener itself. That's what messed me up. FInally after 4 years of living at my house, I got it done. 2 people doing it would help.

I had some problems with my rolling code opener as well. Once I finally realized that you first have to program the remote in the visor to be a compatible remote and then sync it with the opener I was fine.

The only problem with this is that you are programming your garage door opener with a non-rolling code device. This means that someone could read the signal and use it to open you door. Granted, the chances are pretty slim.......

the manual should have instructed you if you do have the rolling code feature. in any case, i would recommend two people to help set it. My dad needed a ladder to reach the garage door unit while I pressed the button on the visor.

Try it again. I followed the instructions and it didn't seem to work at first, then for some reason it did. Not sure what happened, but didn't question it. 2 people are nice but you can do it with 1.
