Might do a 2k2/2k3 to 2k/2k1 front bumper conversion

Was wondering if anyone has ever done this...

I currently have a MT Front lip(not yet installed) for my 2k3 and I know its going to be really low with the D2 Racing coilovers that I have on order. I dont really like the 2k2/2k3 classic stillen lip on light colored cars... I have been doing some research and it seems that the 2k/2k1 stillen lip doesnt go as low as the MT lip. I was thinking about possible doing a downlevel front end conversion and wanted to see what peoples opinion on this would be...

Thanks,
Mike

If you decide to do this- I got dibs on your MT front lip ! I'm doing the other way around 02-03 bumper with MT or stillen classic lip, if that don't work out- Stillen Aggressor front end.

Next in line for the MT lip!! Seeing how often BlackBIRDVQ changes things around on his car, he prob won't want it when the time comes!

No offense to anyone that has a 2k1 bumper on a 2k2-3, but I saw a max that had this done and I really didn't like it. This is just my opinion of course, but it kind of made the max look more pointy and less classy up front. Just my opinion, but good luck.

Wait what? It makes the front-end look exactly like an 00/01. I was also going to do a front-end conversion, but to the 02/03. What I ended up doing was just changing the grille emblem to the new Nissan emblems -- made a world of a difference in appearance.

Yes. In my opinion the 00/01s look kind of pointy up front.

Hey Mike, you need a 2k1 bumper, I've got one sitting in the garage. Got some damage, but still basically in good shape. Selling it cheap to get rid of it, but you'll need about $150 of repair/repaint work to get it on your car. See my site for pics, as well as Ebay: Get this thing out of my garage!

Hey Polak, I love that lip, but how come it looks like it's not on the car in your sig pic. What's that about? And it's an awesome sig, but is your car parked on a Persian rug?

Im not really fond of the way the 2002-2003 classic stillen lip looks on light colored cars for some reason... I like the way it looks from the side but not really from the front.. Im not sure what im going to do at this point... Probably just going to install the MT front lip but just not sure right now...

I dunno which pictures you've seen of the classic lip on light colored cars, but are you sure you don't like the way this looks?

(I dunno whose car this is, but it's somebody on the org.)

Because that looks awesome to me. But I guess it's just my opinion.

yeah that does look great. i have the entire classic stillen kit with a 02 bumper ready to go on my 2000 pearl white max, just need a stock grille. so dibs on the grille. but honestly i think you'd have to be crazy to downgrade to the 2k1 bumper. again just my opinion, but the 2k1 with stillen lip has too many slots on the center stacked on eachother and the grille is too small. the 02 bumper with the stillen class lip and grilletec lower inserts on it....priceless. Can't wait too make my mods, just need 02 grille and 02 fogs.
