New Fog's with city lights from Wal-Mart $39.99

Let me know what you think.
Fits great, just needed longer bolts in stock housing.

Just city lights

Fog's on

There used to be a lot of people here that used to be into the city light thing about 8-9 yrs ago. Quite illegal in Hawaii..........at least that color is. Be careful, you don't want to get a ticket for impersonating a police officer.

I don't think they look bad at all, but the blue tint could get you in trouble in some states (I understand that they're white when they're on full). Even if they don't exactly fit everybody's taste, they are a lot better than the weird stock fog lights on my 2k3 SE. Honestly, who puts regular yellowish lights under bright white headlamps? Nissan does... those weirdos...

After looking at your Max, I see you got the eyelids from EBay...I have the same set and the Street Scenes griles as you...lol

Nah, I have not had yet to replace them (*knocks on wood*)

To each his own, but it is not to my taste.

Uhh, I replaced my stock fogs with PIAA Crystal Ion's to get the yellow light. Yellow light is better in the rain and fog.

By "yellow," I don't really mean yellow. I just don't know how to describe the unpure, not-quite-white of the stock fogs. If you went with fog lights that were even more yellow than the stock lights for visibility reasons, that's your choice. I actually think that would look cool, because it would be obvious that you MEANT for your fogs to be yellow. I just don't like how the stock lights look, because they aren't exactly meant to be colored. They're just plain bulbs that most people would consider uncolored light, but they look somehow unpure compared to the headlights, which are actually closer to white than the stock fogs.

Its not really the color that matters in rain and fog.... its the beam height and shape.... yellow MIGHT help in the snow because of the contrasting color...

I did some reasearch on this a while back and here are 2 articles...

http://www.cartalk.com/content/colum...bruary/08.html

One more for how to adjust beam height...

Btw, I have the same PIAA fogs as you...

I just wish they made yellow HIDS. I actually found a 3000k HID kit which produces yellow light but they didn't have an H3 application. Oh well....

So, these Wal-mart fogs only come with that blue tint? Anyone seen clear fogs from them? Also, any opinions on if they fit into a 2k2 fog hole or not?

Fog's on
Can these be adjusted to point down? I had a set in my '01 Durango(Blazertech 3200 driving lights) that looks like these and does throw a good pattern down road since those were functional and not like our fogs for looks. Thanks, Ed.

I think they look OK, but I like the look of the Hella's better. They fill out the bumper better (my opinion). Can tell you that they're a #)($* to put in, though; you have to do attach them first to a mounting block, then attach the block from the rear (removing the fender lining first).

With the 2002 / 2003, the opening is larger, so you might be able to install them from the front.

They'll fit. But you'll have to deal w/abt a 0.5" gap all the way around.

I had BT 3200s on my Max and the beam pattern was excellent for 55W lamps. I have PIAA 110W lamps now, too bright to possibly use at night b/c they are aimed so poorly. I never use them, should've just spent the $$ on putting HIDs in the stockers :| .

I'm interested in getting them cause i'm strapped for cash. They don't look bad except for the bluish tint, is the lens tinted or is it from the bulb?

Anyways I have a gxe which didn't come with fogs and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a how to for installing foglights onto my car. Do i need to buy anything in addition to the foglights?

I checked the how to section but no luck.

Eh they're ok, what's the point of the blue tint, it just to make them look blue, but they really light up white? Seems pointless..

The blue helps to make the light emitted whiter.

Because it's illegal in some states to have any lights or lenses on your vehicle that are the color of emergency vehicle lights (other than your normal brake and rear lights which are red).
