Looks great. A couple of questions...

1) cost includiing install
2) is the screen retractable?
3) if it's not retractable, what console switches did you have to give up/block in order to get it in?

Thanks in advance.

That is awsome. I like the way you can check out your rear through a screen. How hard was the install?

those dvd headunits come with a adapter that you can use for a game console and it also has the hook up for a camera on the same adaptor. so all you need is a camera and the wires to make it happen, thats if you have the headunit already... so do the math...

**** these are the cameras here

Thanks guys!

Teq-Niq - there's really nothing for it to hit, the mufflers would hit bottom before the camera.

BobbyG -

1) I had the camera from my previous install in my truck, see Niq's link for camera cost. As for install Niq nailed as well, just running wire from the HU (mine has a CCD camera input) Took my installer about 45 min to do, I helped a bit.
2) The screen is retractable (Clarion 935VRX)
3) The screen blocks the climate control switches when it's open but they are still easy to get to.

My installer showed me another camera with night vision but it was pretty big, this "bullet" style in pretty inconspicuous...I'm happy!!

It doesn't "get" a toddler playing at your rear bumper...

Is that a custom dash install or is there an aftermarket kit for the Maxima?

Damn, I always like looking at your pics....sometimes it feels like poring salt in the wounds, but makes me want that audio system. If it was not for my dash overlays.....nice setup though. DAMN YOU jsmithole!!! Just kidding. Just jealous.

I keep saying "stop" but I can't. Actually this has been planned ever since I put in my system but I just haven't done it.
As for "the next mod" who knows:
Maybe a grill (if Active Tuning releases something that I'm into)
The LED tail light project is still roaming around in my head.
Oh yes, replacement struts need to go on the list for sure...

Thanks for the props guys!!!

Carcus, couldn't you buy the kit and apply something like this to the new kit?

sweet looking! I've been wanting to do that, but I would need to get a monitor. wish our stock display will accept a video input (wishful thinking though)

Looks hot man. Bro is it hard to rip off or is it screwed in there good? You think you might rip it off if you wash the car? I just think of worst case scenario's for some reason. I hate that.

It's solid, it is screwed into the plastic up underneath the bumper (not into the bumper) There's also a piece of dynamat around it and attached to the bumper to prevent any road or exhaust vibration. I'll re-check it this weekend to make sure everything is snug.
Thanks for caring!!!

how accurate is the screen and the camera angle..my friend has a aftermarket one like urs but the camera was installed by the license plates and it wasnt that accuarate ..the ones that come from the dealers are so accurate you can even back up all the way until you touch on the screen..litterally..does yours do that also..?

If you mean does it "simulate" distance then no. You need to accomodate the 6 or 8 inches of bumper sticking out past the end of the camera lens.
