Autoo tranny problem

Fluid level is fine, and its a nice rosey pink. But It's not shifting right, and when its cold in the mornings, unless you let it warm up in park for about 15 minutes it will stall the car right away. For the next 30 minutes or so, when it idles, at a light it idles very roughly, almost like a 5-spedds clutch thats not disengaging all the way. Any thoughts as to what could be causing it?

same exact thing happened to me. i havent fixed it yet. it could be the automatic transmission control unit. or it could be a torque converter problem.

Sounds like the torque converter is acting up.

Be aware that the 4th gen used plastic valve bodies in teh trans to hydraulicly control shifts. These are prone to failure.

On wife's 96, it totaled up to worn clutches on 1st, second, worn drum on first, and a new set of valve bodies (the good metal replacement ones).
