I have 97 SE, 5 speed, with 140,000 miles... When I let off the accelerator a noise occurs that sounds like something is banging underneath the car... After checking underneath the car to make sure that nothing is loose (exhaust) or debris is caught somewhere, a friend of mine checked and said it was the engine mount on the left side... When I went to get the part at the local nissan dealer they asked me if this was the transmission mount. IS this what I need or is there another part??? I can't get in touch with my friend because he is out of the country on vacation...
Since I don't have a clue any help would be greatly appreciated...
