Yes, it is complete. My ECU revs up to 7100 before the fuel cuts. It also has the upgraded timing and fuel maps.

I am one happy bastard right now because I've waited over a year for these guys to figure the limiter out and they did it.

They cracked it like 3 months ago. My ECU is the one used for all of the testing but it took a while to get Cheston's car over there so they could get going with it.

Cheston doesn't care about Maximas anymore.

In my eyes, this is huge. Please tell all on VQPower...

I'm still at work so I just put it in the car and let run for bit to warm up and then just rev'd it to see how far it would go. The ride home will be interesting though.

The increased rev limiter is only for auto's.
I just got an email from Brian this week regarding the Manual ecu's

We haven't had any new progress. Sorry. Don't worry, we will be emailing you once it is done.

they prolly just fudged it by changing the shift points or something at WOT....lol....whereas on the sticks, you actually have to have a real cut...

I dunno though...they certainly do have a JWT ecu to play with off a stick shift car...a 97 actually...but they still haven't figured it out...I had it hand delivered about a few months ago...I even let them use my car for half a day to see if they could figure it out but they couldn't...either that or it isn't a priority...for future reference, I am going with JWT...TS turned out to be too much trouble with some mixed messages/answers and mostly no answers or false ones...don't get me wrong, their product is great, (well mine wasn't, what I got was upgraded A/F maps and stock timing and a stock rev limit....my ecu is still there (about a month now)...and they can't seem to figure out why the timing isn't upgraded)...don't let my experience alone curb you guys from enjoying there great product/services...my experience is most likely a "fluke"...

deezo....does it rev to 7100 when sitting still like in neutral or park?

Beats me?
They thought they had it, but only to find out that they didnt.
They stated that their were just too many different ecu's for the 95-96 maxima's. They also told me that they didnt have a car to test with.

Ceasar, last time I spoke with them it was a 50 upgrade to have the rev limiter extended.

Flavor24/7
Hello,’m emailing you in question of the current group deal on the ecu upgrade for the maxima’s that has been posted on Maxima.org. I see that you now offer the raised rev limiter to the upgrade now and are offering a 50.00 upgrade for existing customers.

My question is does this apply to the older G force ecu as well?

This is the ECU program I currently have and I would like to send it in and have its rev limiter raised if so. Also, another question I have is I see that the group deal ends Dec 15, 2004. Does the 50.00 upgrade end at that time as well?

Thank you for your time.
Technosquare
Yes, it does apply to the G-Force programmed ECUs as well. Just fill out this and send in the ECU. http://www.technosquareinc.com/manua...ationsheet.pdf

Most definitely.

TS will figure it out for 5 speeds but it just takes some time and a car that will be a vailable for more than a day. I wouldn't right them off yet. I let them have my ECU because I wanted to make this happen. Yeah, it was a year but now autos can have the extended limiter.

Now for the meat:

I just got home from work and the drive with this ECU great with the VI. My midrange is back and the harder you push the pedal, the more the car pulls.
You guys have heard it all before from people with upgraded ECU's and VI's so I won't go on about it. My car is definitely a monster now.

uhhhhhh.... extended rev limiter....uhhhhhh

again, congradulations, and since no one has said it yet, thanks for donating your ecu to figure it out. Even though I'm a 5 speed, it takes the maxima community one step closer to an equal ecu upgrade for half the cost.

Thanks for the props! Some of us here are about making things happen for the community and it's good when we keep making some ground over the competition.

FUEL: Fuel Map
IG: Ignition Timing Map

How did you get such a good price with all the other upgrades?

i sent them my auto ecu back in December and they were able to raise my rev limiter at that time for some unknow reason. They even had my ecu for like 3 weeks. Guess ill call and check if they have figured it out. SInce i no longer have a spare, it makes it a lot harder.

Blackwind: It's still only for 95-96's. I'm running a 96 ECU in my 97. I got the dumb CEL today but the car still runs perfectly.

Bags: No doubt.

Slimer: They do it for other cars but you will have to call and ask.

illmortal: 2 things: I was the test rat and I got the price I was quoted back in 2003 when I sent it in to them which was $380 plus shipping.

I30tMikeD: It's a whole different car now and boy does it accelerate......

slimer...TS will fer sher program what you want for timing and A/F....however, ask eng92 about what happened when he submitted his own IG timing graph to them to be programmed in, he got a timing which was entirely different then what he asked for and it was significantly higher...which would horrible for boost if you got much higher timing than you asked for!!!
