For guys with bodtkits, do you park your car on the street?

I consider getting Stillen bodykit this spring, however I park my car in the street and am growing worried that having it with bodykit on the street will attract more attention with more likelyhood of someone braking in.

For guys who park their cars with bodykits on the street, how do you handle this, your thoughts???

Opinions welcomed!!

I dont have a kit, but it will definatly attract more attention if the people know cars at all.

Having aftermarket wheels would be much more noticable than a bodykit like Stillen's. Everybody, their moms and I have one.

I don't have a kit, but I'm hesitant enough parking my car on the street with rims. If I had a kit I wouldn't do it, but then again I'm paranoid about my car. I also live in the city where I see broken glass from a car window on the side of the street almost every other day, so I have reason to be paranoid. I do see a number of Eclipses, Civics, etc. parked on the street with kits around here during the day but almost never overnight. I don't know if they have any more problems than anyone else though.

Some people chose in the poll they have body kits and park in the street, would love to hear some more of the opinions.

I start realizing that maybe body kit is really not the option right now.... I have alarm but not as fancy as viper, however if someone will want my cheap CD player, I don't think even viper could stop them.

if you dont want attention, stop modding and buy a geo.

with all the stuff i got on my car, ive never had any problems parking on the street, and i always park on the street. ive left my car in some pretty rough neighborhoods too, and i dont even think my alarm works....obviously you can tell how much i really care

Good point, hehe... I live in relatively quiet neighbourhood, but it is also in a city center, so a lot of traffic is coming through. Actually, I live right next to my church, and priest some time ago told me that if need be, I could always park on parish property. I think I will start making use of his offer.

Thanks for input guys.

I parked on the street and my clear corners were stolen. I don't think that was because it had a body kit on it though. I don't think I had the kit at that time.

Depends on the neighborhood. I park on the street downtown (Toronto) at night and have had no problems. Then again the stillen kit rarely attracts attention. Many of my friends think my car is STOCK.

Like everyone else said, it totally depends on the neighborhood you live in. If you feel as if its an issue to park your car on the street with a body kit, then perhaps you should hold off. But I would not hesitate to park my car on the street in front of my house with a body kit, expecially a subtle one like Stillen's.

ha i could have stock car parked in the street and the mothafawers around here still rape it. for the last 3 weeks 7 cars on my block got broken into on the street. They even broke into one of the top drug dealers lexus gs400 too around here. stole his tvs and system. its like one week they hit one block then wait awhile, then they go hit up another block like 4 blocks away and continue. its kinda hard to find them, or know when theyre going to strike.

My friend with an IS300 lives in a very rich neighborhood also. He parks on the street, so one morning he comes outside, and his car is completely stripped! Theives come to good neighborhoods expecting to find people like him.

^btw your maxima absolutely rules

I've only seen one 4th gen max with a bodykit so far in person. I see lots on the org though.

In my neighborhood you are guaranteed to have your car broken into if you have 20" rims, body kit, and/or custom (altezza) brake lights. They usually don't steel the cars around where I live they just take everything out of it including air bags and a/c / heater controls even from people with the always recommended viper alarm.

Hm, I guess its gonna come down to either bodykit or projectors, though I would prefer a body kit more. Damn, gonna try to work out a deal with down the street priest seminary where I have few acquaintainces (sp?). It is pretty safe there.
Thanks for comments.

why not park outside? its jst a body kit, its not like people will take it off and run away with it

i mean like as long as u dont have tints and people see u aint got a bunch of tv;s in ur car and all, nothing's going to happen to it
