I will be getting yellow bulbs for my stock fogs.
Is the higher wattage that much a concern?

Yes it is. You are very likely to have them cracked when highter wattage bulb heats up the glass. Then in wet rainy weather you drive into a pudle and splash fogs with cold water, causing glass to crack.

I used to have 110 watts and mine basically exploded on a cold rainy day. The narva golds that I had were fine, but they run hot as hell.
