Where is the Rear O2 sensor? Couldn't find it in the Chilton Manual

I would like to replace it myself. I am not a mechanic, but I am handy. Is this a job a do it yourself person could do, or should it be left to the pros?

How much should I pay for an O2 sensor.

Thanks!!

It is located in the exhaust stream just downstream of the Catalytic Converter. For a good photo, see the Haynes repair manual, page 6-15. In many respects the Haynes book is superior to Chilton.

This repair can be done by the home mechanic.

You can get a good name-brand Oxygen Sensor for $80 at any auto parts chain store.

The connecter is underneath the driver's seat. The sensor is right behind the cat. It is pretty easy. You should get it from the dealer, because it comes with the round plastic thing around the wires. I don't think the aftermarket ones will have that. It costs about $110.
