Spark Plug Boot stuck on plug! Need Help!

I was changing my sparks plugs last night and everything was going smooth till I got to the last one. When I pulled the coil pack out the boot did not come with it! The boot is still on the plug. Has any one encoutered this? Any ideas how to get it out?

That's what he said, no need to repeat it. It's not broken, the adhesive just finally let go. This happened to my friend twice. First time I used so rubber cement, let it set and pulled it out. Second time, well, he still has the old plug in there. Did you bother to try super glue or some other strong adhesive or did you just run to the comp as soon as it happened?

This is in the faqs...I believe it suggests crazy/superglue.

Use crazy glue, just put a few drops on the tip of the stem, put it back onto the stuck boot down in the spark plug hole.

Go have a beer

When you come back the boot will come up when you pull the coil pack.

Happened to me twice. I went to Sears hardware store and bought a long needle-nose plier and took it out with ease. After that, I went back and returned the plier.

Bah, you patient people.

I've bought two junkyard coil packs for just the stems and boot. I was too impatient and ended up ripping the damn boot out (either using needle nose pliers, failing with the super glue trick, or a jig).

I superglue the stems to the boot now.

That **** happened to me and I couldn't get it out with any glue. So finally I used one of those pickle grabber nose picker things to get it out.

I made myself a tool out of a coat hanger. I just made a loop at one end so that it'll grip the boot.

the spark plug boot got stuck on the plug in my car too, and I had to replace mine. I used crazy glue on another one that got stuck.

Holy hell, a real use for crazy glue? I've used that stuff on various things in the past and it's been consistently garbage. I still am annoyed to think of the pic of the guy hanging wit the hardhat and one drop of that junk. It's about as sticky as shampoo, and holds no better either.

Well, I'm done ranting. Apparently in this case it does work.

I didn't have the benefit of the faq, so I panicked. I used a bent-up wire hanger to claw at and eventually remove the boot.
