Need some tune up advice

I currently have a very limited budget, under 1 grand, and I want to do a tune up for my car + worn clutch replace ment if budget allows.

Things done so far:

Control arm replacement
Clear corners
Distributor cap replacement
Oil changed

Things need to be done:

Timing belt replacement
Water pump
(Thermostat) maybe???
Clutch replacement (if determined to be worn)
Complete coolant flush and fill

So, can someone please enlighten me on the prices for parts to do the things listed above?

Also, I'm trying to cut down on labor cost and will attempt to replace the timing belt, and water pump (and possibly the thermostat) myself. Keep in mind that I have replaced my control arm and cen figure my way out with the right tools in hand, is this job feasible? If it is, is there any got cha's I should look out for? Is there any instruction that you guys can link me to? Thanks in advance.

internetautomart has very good prices other wise most of the parts can be found at local parts stores
as far as instructions go try and pick up a chiltons manual or haynes or go on autozone.com they have an online repair manual that is great

If you replace the timing belt, you might as well replace the water pump, and if you replace the water pump might as well do the Tstat.

kind of a chiken or the egg thing

I'm almost ready to place an order with internetautomart, just don't know which is better, a 170 degrees thermostat or the 180 degrees? Which one is the OEM spec?

Depends where u live, how u use your car. Spark plugs, ign timing etc go in concert... Engine should never overheat.

Me, coldie, wants hotter engine 180 degrees or more. I have no danger of overheating my engine.

The FSM says 180 degree, but I like hotter ones myself if I can find em.

that settles that, now about the clutch,
which brand is better? (These are sold by internetautomart mind you)

Autospeciality
Sachs
Exedy

which is considered an OEM replacement, maybe slight upgrade, I'm on a budget.

The Exedy stage 1 is a performance upgrade
the Daikin is a stock replacement as are the Autospeciality and the Sachs (which is OE on german cars)
