looks better w/ s-tech but your ride will be harsh as hell; especially w/ them NY roads. It's going to feel like your car is falling appart when you hit potholes and bumps.

I've had both. Get H-Techs if you value any measure of ride quality at all.

Depends on what your priority is... ride quality, handling, looks, etc....

I'd get the H-Techs cuz its a nice stance and performance is good, from what I've heard. S-Techs are a little low for my taste.... plus you're driving around NYC... might wanna consider that...

on s.techs but only because i like the low stance it gives the max, especially if you have wheels with a decent size lip. the s.tech ride is a tad more bouncy and harsh than other springs, so if you are more concerned with the ride comfort, you may want to try the h.techs, but if you like the low stance, get the s.techs. in chicago our roads are about as bad as ny's if not worse, so i try to avoid all the bumps and potholes, but still going over those when i do fail to dodge em feels like daaaaaaamn either i'm gonna come flyin out the car or it's gonna fall apart. good luck on your choice!

S techs all the way. They are not nearly as bad as people make them out to be...

It's partially due to strut usage as well, so keep everything relative.

Where in Michigan? The highways around Ann Arbor and Detroit were crap when I lived there 5 years ago.... well, there were nice spots on 94, 275, 696, etc... and all of a sudden a pothole the size of an SUV would creep up....

H-Tech by far. Avoid S-Tech like a plague in NYC.

I have the S-Techs and love the look. I also have Illuminas and can adjust the ride quality with them. I would not get the S-Techs without adjustable struts.

s-techs and tokico blues i love it . probably because i wanted the lower drop and the better handling. if ur not in it for the performance or the look go with h-techs LoL j/k
i just can't stand a big gap over my wheels thats why i went with s-techs

mmm, would ride height be different with aftermarket springs+aftermarket shox vs aftermarket springs+oem shox? i assume the aftermarked shox are stiffer, and dont compress as much on pot holes and speed bumps, and car would naturally sit higher. lemme know please.

Car on OEM struts woudl not sit higher but the struts woudl wear out quickly, as they are not designed to control the increased rebound force generated by the aftermarket springs. Also, due to the shorter springs, the OEM struts are more likely to bottom out more often (though the increased load rating compensates somewhat for this).

I would say do it once and do it right, unless you are like me and don't mind pulling the suspension 3-4 times a year to make changes.

yeah, i don't really care. i figure after the oem struts blow, i will swap them out with blues or something. how long do you think oem struts will last with h&r springs. i am not an insane driver, i mainly lowered the car to get rid of the wheelgap.

S-Techs, great qualty the ride to me is smooth but harsh yet bareable at times. However when I go into certain areas I just adjust my struts to a softer setting especially when I go into downtown Toronto or other areas. I live in the burbs so the roads here are nice.

Love the the look too

Depends on how old they are.

Will you be doing the work yourself or paying someone to do the seperate installs?

Yes. The ride will be all bouncy and your @$$-end will have a tendency to not want to stay planted. It can be dangerous if not corrected.

If you do the work yourself, then I woudl run the springs on stock for only as long as you need. I will be doing that on my 2000, but like you, I do the work @ home.

h-tech's, gives the car attitude with out looking like its a street sweeper. I enjoy the ride i get with H's, a little stiffer then stock.
