Charlotte, NC right? There is a good ammount of members there. The Raliegh crew used to be big aswell but they've all moved on to 3 series, ///3's and Mustangs lol.

Someday I might be able to join the NC crew

Man I need to move back home... So far there's only one other guy in this forum that lives where I do... Even though there's 8 other 3rd gens in town. And the next closest member is in Souix Falls.

There's no support network out here

For real, it was cool meeting you also. Even with a dying clutch and a lot of tire slipage that turbo VG was still pulling strong. As you know I was looking forward to see your wall to wall audio set-up, but it wasn't there.

See you around
MIKE

Not by my choice I can tell you that. The things I do for my job. I used to live in Paris TN. I can say though, due to the lack of people wanting to beef up a 3rd Gen, I've smoked all of them in town... along with all the high school wanna be's with their slow honda's, cavaliers, neons, and other junkers.

Now I'm looking to see how I do against a SRT-4. Luckily, I found a guy who's willing to go down to the track with me.

Dude not unless you are turboed or got a lot of nitrious. you are going to be smoked by the srt-4. Hell I want even run a Srt-4 yet. Maybe I would if he was stock and from a roll.

Well we won't know till I try it. Besides, I'll point out one thing....

Dodge had to put on a turbo just to beat the Maxima.... A sign they're trying to catch up. They're nice don't get me wrong, and fast. But I still rather pay insurance on my V6 Maxima, than on a SRT-4.

Besides, the Maxima looks better.

Also, I knew I know I'm going to lose, but it gives me something to strive for. Of course, I'm not looking to get it that fast. I'm going to stop the major engine mods once I put on the Hood scoop.

I need to move back to Myrtle Beach. The winter up here kills the modding spirit.

Something tells me Dodge wasn't thinking about beating your third gen when they decided to turbo a neon I don't get it, you want to race it so you have something to strive for but you are going to quit modding your engine after a hood scoop

Speed is only so much fun after a little while. I know there's a couple of other things I could do to the engine... but not much else. Besides the wife is getting pissed off at some of the stuff I've done so far. So I think it's about time to work on cosmetics for now.

And dodge had quite a few cars in mind when they designed the SRT 4. I'm just a pure 3rd gen kind of guy...LOL.

But look on the bright side: You can go to the BMW plant whenever you want and drool over those cars.

I was at Wake Forest University, but never got a chance to visit Spartanburg

Ahem...Spartanburg is the only BMW plant in the US, and one of precious few outside of Germany. My Wake Forest U class (grad business students) went there to see their assembly line after reading a Harvard case study on its efficiency. The entire X5 and X3 demand for US, Canada, and parts of Europe is supplied from there. It used to build the Z3 when it first opened. It is a HUGE facility, man! I would go check it out if I were you!

I found an official link: http://www.bmwworld.com/bmw/plants.htm You will look towards the bottom of the page.
