Stillen Classic Lip Fitment Issue Resolved *PICS*

Well there were a few posts recently including mine claiming that the slits in the lower valence don't line up...well I overcame my retartedness and realized I should follow Ammi's advice and just line up the slots first and then push it on each side after and of course when I did that it slid right on first try..i dunno why i didn't try that before so for those of you who had similar issues try that way maybe you'll be surprised bc all of the lips are made from the same mold...here's a few pics i took..i know you all know what it looks like but i figured i'd post anyways...full kit install in 2 weeks

how's the fitting on the sides...my problem is the left side looking at it from the front.. so the passenger side...... I did it like three times and nothing...I'll try this as soon as I get my car back from the shop....

mine fit on fine when i got them...i bought them used already painted my color along with the rear valence a month or two ago and no problems...sorry i dunno what to tell you...if you heat it up a lot then try to mold it on and screw it in, it will form the way you want...if you go to a body shop they put it in a very, very hot room where the paint is primed and thats how they fit it really well

It's called the Stillen Classic Aero Lip as opposed to the Touring Lip...that's what it's called on Stillen's Website and SWA's

If it's cold, the urithane seem to shrink because I've put mine on many a times and it fit better when it was warmer.

So do you have to get yours painted?? If so do you have a body shop in mind? I would like to put one on in the future and would be looking for a body shop in our area. ( I don't live far from Foxboro, and my sister lives off North st.). If so did you get a quote for paint?

Yah I'm getting it painted but probably not anywhere that anybody else would choose bc its so expensive...My neighbor owns a Nissan dealership and hooks me up with everything including a job there for my spring break and easter break from college bc none of my friends have the same breaks so i'll be doing nothing anyways...It would be done real cheap for me regardless, but now even more so i'm guessing bc i'll just get to know the body shop guy and ask him before i go back to school to help me out...thinkin bout gettin the whole front bumper resprayed if the price is right actually but we'll see..i figured they'll match the paint the best there ...i got body work done there when my garage door handle scraped the hell out of the back of my car and they did an awesome job and I had it back the day after it happend thanks to my neighbor...talk bout service huh? so yah that's where i'm going but if you're interested I know a good body shop in Attleboro, MA where i was considering going to get it painted

Well my problem is also the slits are not lined up correctly either... even if I put the slits in first.. I'm gonna let the shop resolve it for me I guess... I might put the slits in myself so it actually fits first...

I'm only payin' 330 for paint and installation!

I hope that's for the entire kit and not just the front lip?
