Cutting Bump Stop?

hey all, i just dropped my car on gr2s and maxspeeds, but i didnt cut the bump stop. ive had some people tell me that i have to do it, but then there are others who tell me that its not neccesary. who am i to believe here?

also, on my front passenger side shock, i think i might have put the bump stop in upside down, is this something i should change right away?

You should definitely cut the bumpstops about 5/8"

Cut them to increase your wheel travel.

i have kyb gr2's on h&r's with 17's now, had 18's for a few years. if your car rides anything remotely like mine, you have no reason to cut those bumpstops. the gr2's are so stiff, my car has never hit them to begin with, and ive been dropped on this setup for years now.
