Found a dealer to do reprogram!!!=)

Ok fellas after searching through the dealers, i found one, Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland for you Orlando max owners looking to get this done. They are going to charge $85 for the reprogram and (drum roll).......THE ADVANCE TIMING TO 17 DEGREES!!!!!

No question asked, i got to talk to the technician who knows the master technician and he said he has done it many times before on Altimas and Maximas, etc. Only bad thing i have to wait until next thursday to get it done..

He said they will have to charge me for a full hour of labor, i am not going to argue with them, i figure 85 is better than paying 156.

Yes, a reprogram is 0.7hrs plus the timing advance.

I doubt he'll get out of there for that cheap, but maybe.

Well..I think it's fair game to ask them what their shop manual indicates are the labor hours required for this task. If the techs are doing a full reflash and then the timing advance on top, it might be close to a full hour as reflashes are not quick sometimes....

If they are doing just the timing mod, seriously, it's a 10-minute deal so even a half-hour shop charge is a good deal for them..

I saw my reflash done in person, ie work parking lot, and it was ~1/2hr with setup and download time.

Timing is 5-10mins tops from what most people say.

Yeah the tech told me about 45 minutes to an hour. So that is cool.

I just came back from Autoway Nissan of Clearwater and they will do the advance timing (17 degrees) for me this coming Wednesday. Price will be $44 plus tax. I just asked the Service Rep, he called his chief mechanic and he said it wasn't a problem. Can't wait.

Actually, had you PMed some of us in the local area, you could have had it done for $30.

Anyone know of a dealership in NH/MA that'll do this?
