Same here, had the valve body changed per the TSB too (at 24K, now have 30K) and the 1-2 shift still sucks. Glad to hear that someone else has a similar problem. Not sure what to do about it either, hopefully someone here will have a suggestion.

some dealers will sell you the extended warranty alone. but you have to pay in cash. I got extended warranty on mine coverd by Toyota even though its a nissan they tend to take better care of people. cost about $1200 bucks for 60K and 5 years.

I have had bad luck with auto tranny's. I agree with Lontar1, if you flushed it, and it still ain' workin. Then you need a new tranny.

I got the same problem here, mine is 27000 miles. shifting gear between 1st and 2nd is way too slow. It is on nissan dealer now to get it check (under warranty). I have to wait another 2 hrs to get the problem checked. It could be the TCM or Selenoid according to what the guy said.

Just got call from Dealer, My problem is on the valve body. They ordered it for free. Just have to wait for 1 week at the most.
Is that the problem on our 2K car? I thought that the problem is on the TCM, and/or Selenoid?

Just had this done to my 2K2 Max yesterday... I have 47K on my car and the shifting from 1st to 2nd was always a problem. I had no extended warranty and here's what they replaced for free under the powertrain 60K:

Part Part Number Qty
Gasket Oil Pan 31397-80X01 1
Matic D Transmis 999MP-AA100QT 5
Solenoid Cont 31940-85X05 1
