Replacement rear calipers.

I replaced one of my rear calipers about a year ago with a rebuilt one. Everything still works fine excapt for the e- brake on that one side. My first thought was that the cable tension was messed up, so i took off my wheel and discovered that the cable is fine. The problem is the lever that attaches to the caliper that mechanically squeezes the brake. The lever does not move freely and is stuck in it's position. My options are to either replace the caliper with yet another rebuilt one or change to something different. I vote to change to something different due short life of the first. Any suggestions or similar experiences would be appreciated. Does anyone know of any better calipers that would fit the oe rotors?

I don't have a personal experience with this, however I've read on here that people have purchased Auto Zone calipers and had good luck with them.

Are they stuck in the position as if the e-brake was on? Both of my rear calipers are stuck like this, but the brakes work fine, just not the e-brake. It sucks, I have a 5spd too.

Yes, it is exactly like yours only just on one side.
Does anyone know of any aftermarket rear calipers?

i had the same problems. I just had them rebuilt, got some hawk high performance pads, and slotted/cross-drilled rotors and i couldn't be happier........well, that is unless I had a turbo kit of course!

the only way to keep the rear caliper from jamming up is to use the handbrake everytime u park the car
