Do you have one of those days when...

When you get in the car in the morning and the car feels amazing? I don't know why and how but this morning, my car felt so peppy, smooth and strong. This is driving on slush and snow too! Maybe its the cold air heading into my intake. Or is it the grounding kit I just installed from Blehmco? Anyhow, I love 5 speed Maximas!

yes i have those days once in awhile. the car feels different and drives like a dream. Stops on a dime and accelerates quicker than normal. I haven't pinned down what causes this. It has happened in all sorts of environments.

yea there are those days once in a while, try not to drive your Max for a few days then go back to it - that first drive back in it will make you smile and love to drive your max SO much!

I drive only a few short trips during the week these days...but when I take her home for the weekend on a good highway run, I am still amazed every time. I've never ridden in any other car that is that smooth at 90mph after racking up 200,000 on the odometer!

That goes without saying. I drive my 95 KingCab during the week because it's my work truck. Even when I drive the Max all week, I am always enjoying the ride.

I too have those days. Car drives and shift like a dream from time to time. I hate when it runs sluggish because I'm only tempted to push it harder to get where I'm going.

My theory is that it is caused by atmospheric conditions. Sometimes the barometric pressure and temperature (cold) are just right and the car can produce extra torque due to the air density.

These types of days are definitely nice. But it seems to me that they are also too few and far between. I'm either imagining problems, or I have a couple of small annoyances wrong with the car that really bother the hell outta me on all those days in-between.

agreed...the max is great on any day...but those "days"...it is just amazing...everything just feels perfect, acceleration, braking, turning, interior comfort, engine noise, exhaust tone, it just all goes together, and it is great...

I always love my Max, but I had a particularly good day with her today. Her acceleration is always nice, but her handling can leave something to be desired, since she has stock suspension. Today she somehow found the perfect line and followed it all the way down a set of sweet curves. The growl of her Berk intake combined with the total absence of ANY tire squeal and the feeling of total perfection around that set of curves was music to my soul. We weren't going that fast (stayed near the legal limit), but she and I squirted from curve to curve, enjoying her ready acceleration while she danced. I almost forgot that she's a floaty family sedan that rides as high as a Jeep.

A slight shake!!

Ok, here is another brainteaser. What if you car shakes like it want to die out but it is at a complete stop. My car shakes sometimes when I am at a stop light; it feels like the rpm are to low. That is not the case, I had someone at Nissan check the idling on the car, and they said it was fine. What could my problem be if It feels this way sitting at a complete stop?
