WIERD LOW-END power loss 2002 3.5L

Today i took an extended drive. As i pulled onto a highway i had very very little get up... felt like 5 people in the car. at the next stop i gave it some gas with traction control off.... no wheelspin... ??? about 15 min later when stuck at a RR crossing, i shut the car off, waited a few min.

Fired her back up and Wiola all my torque was back...?? Is this a Vias problem? I had no check engine lights illuminated, i checked the intake tract to make sure i hadnt sucked up a small animal. Power loss was idle to redline, but obvious at speeds like 2000-4000rpm. Car runs smoothly and fine now...

When i pick up my Bose stereo , im gonna ask about it

Can't be VIAS because that's would be most noticeable only in the high end. There's a TSB on it. MAF.

Your MAF is going slowly. Or maybe a bad throttle body. Have both inspected.

I had that happen to me once. But I'd suspected that it was bad gas (from a local no-frills station) and changed to Sunoco Ultra. I havent had that problem since.

Your transmission control module went into limp mode. This happens on mine sometimes after periods of excessive wheelspin. Restarting the engine should reset it.

This happened to me last summer.. Mind you my car is a 6 speed.

I could not drive with the A/C on. Car would not accelerate unless i was past 3500rpms. No pull, i would have to bury to throttle. No engine lights.

Took the car in for a throttle body cleaning, Fuel injector cleaning, oil change, etc... and all of a sudden all the power is back.. and back since last summer.
